Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chobosky the main character Charlie, who’s unsocial and just started at a new high school. A lot of students at his school would describe him as freak “You’re a freak, you know that? You’ve always been a freak. Everyone says so. They always have.”(pg.26) Charlie daily writes to a mysterious person he’s no longer with, about his everyday life. Towards the end of the book you feel as if you know Charlie and why he is the way he is. Reading this book give the reader a deep thinking.
Charlie first day he doesn’t make any friends, but he does meet someone who gives him motivation, his English teacher. Charlie wants to become a writer. Which his teacher really enjoys about Charlie. Charlie’s teacher gives Charlie a few of his favorite books and expects Charlie to write book reviews on them. Of course Charlie does, and he enjoys writing them and His teacher enjoys reading them.
Patrick, the guy whose repeated wood shop class a bit, so happens to have Charlie in that class. That’s how Charlie knows of Patrick. Charlie one day than saw Patrick at the football game and sat next to them, who Patrick than introduced Charlie to Sam.
